to Spindler Campground the Marina is a public gateway
to the Illinois River. Launch your boat for a daily
fee or take advantage of a yearly rate, rent a slip,
or store your boat and trailer at the Marina. Become
an adventurer by renting a canoe or kayak for a
trip on the Illinois River. Pick up your bait, ice,
or boating/ camping supplies at the Marina office.
With a picnic and shelter area, restrooms available
seasonally, and close proximity to the Illinois
River Trail II, make the Marina your next adventure.

On
the bank of the picturesque Illinois River, this campground
is named for the benefactors who donated this land
to the park district in 1966. Open from March 1st
until December 1st, Spindler offers 48 paved sites
with electric and varying combinations of water or
sewer hookups, and 24 primitive sites with electricity
for campers or tents. Enjoy the beach area or take
a walk on the nearby boardwalk of Illinois River Trail
II, and experience nature up close. Shower and laundry
facilities are available to campers along with a shelter
and fire ring.
